No matter your brand or type of kayak, a Sea Eagle inflatable kayak, a PakBoat folding kayak, an Innova inflatable kayak, etc., if you’re like me, you’re always looking for somewhere nice to paddle it. With the economy suffering as it is, you’d expect that 2009 will be a rough year to travel to those ‘wish list’ paddling locations. However, there is another side to that coin. I think 2009 will be a great year to travel. It looks like fuel costs and gas prices will remain more reasonable that last year. And because of the expectations of fewer travelers, many resorts, hotels, etc. are offering really nice packages to lure people out of their homes. Airlines and cruise lines are expected to follow suit.

That doesn’t mean that every offer is a bargain. You’ll still have to shop well. But there’s always more than one way to look for travel opportunities in any kind of economy. Let’s see… where’s that ‘wish list’?
